Why Guys Love Girls

  • The way they always smell good even if it's just shampoo.
  • The way they always find the right spot on our chest to lay their head.
  • How cute they look when they sleep.
  • The ease in which they fit into our arms with their tender frames.

Love of the father
Towards humanity;
The author of divinity
Housed in a virgin mother,
Gift of God from heaven,
God's word made flesh
Just to gracefully refesh
Souls withered by sin's leaven
Down to earth,
He descended as Jesus

PRACTICAL RELATIONSHIP - a relationship zone series at pengaze.com

The writing of a sage
About a stage
Which precedes Marriage;
Being 'IN A RELATIONSHIP' and not a cage

Two becoming one;
The aim of a loyal man,
The goal of a trusting woman;
Two shall become one

What God has joined together,
Let no man put asunder;
The idea of union just by sex is a blunder,
God has a part in joining together

Lust only makes nature grieve;
God naturally joined Adam to eve,
There was no reason to cleave
Unnaturally to Steve

Making a life decision
To be committed to a divine institution
Not influenced by a friend's discretion
But a personal God given condition

In form of partnership
Or dictatorship;
Which is the safest ship ?

Imagine a ship on an ocean
Such as agape; divine love in action,
Philos; a friendship connection
Or eros; sexual attraction

Eros ain't just in connection
To sex in action
But an attraction of passion
Between opposite sex with emotions

From this indication
Of a special attraction
Between different genders of God's creation
To be Eros' definition

Despite philos; the realistic
That's found on agape; the authentic,
Being 'IN A RELATIONSHIP' without eros; the erotic
Will be practically pathetic

Emotions have got no respect
Neither for the intellect
Nor 'Spiritually perfect';
It reflects any hidden defect

The gimmicks
Of some lyrics
Actually sticks
To play the tricks

Influencing the will
With a tactical skill,
Which involves an emotional thrill
That might not be real

A sweet stimulation
Of excited emotion,
Seeking further attention,
Yet, tending to extinction

You don't need sooth-sayers
To let you know that some love-slayers
Tag themselves players,
You could counter them with prayers

Words that hit your soul's core
To open your heart's door,
Being easily swept off the floor
Could just be that first error

Desires invested,
Feelings twisted,
Heart's unrested,
Love untested

So easy to trip;
Falling into a ship
Called relationship,
Hoping it's a safe ship

Pierced with erotic claws
Not free from fundamental flaws;
A relationship found on Eros
Leading to many errors

Yes! Eros may sweeten the marrow
But philos strengthens tomorrow,
While agape makes you the hero
That can tame even a foe

A relationship between best friends
May have some bends,
Yet, it usually blends
Into a happy end

Countering eros' assumptions
With philo's communication,
Frees you from the seduction
Of your desire's intention

The pride of pretence
Which sits one on the fence
In contrast with the freedom of conscience
Makes the difference

Effective communication
Dissolved in humility's solution
Resolves Agape's decision
To expand love's resolution

Of course! You've got to gauge
Your body language
To avoid the traditional cage
That still exists in this modern age

All the same, be quite blunt
With what you flaunt;
Just know what you want,
To prevent any emergency stunt

Want what you know
To direct where you go;
Make it slow and take it low
So as not to end up with a 'foe'

Marriage ain't by force,
The creator didn't institute divorce,
So a broken relationship, of course!
Is better than a 'marriage by force'.

Spiritual Taster

POSSIBILITY - get inspired series at pengaze.com

Unfavourable limitations
Of Impossible situations,
Unstoppable fears
Engulfed in silent tears

Constrained to mope
In lost hope;
Branded a lame
'Coz of Goliath's fame

Forced to sign one's name
With a pen of shame;
A state of despair
That seems beyond repair

Applying all wisdom
Just to seek freedom
But ending up facing the red sea
While Pharaoh won't let you go free

The future that looked bright
Has turned the present night,
The thought of giving up
Always accompanying waking up

Starting afresh seems an impossibility,
Oh! What a marred identity,
A Life betrayed trust,
Loss of value beyond dust

This defeat in the mind
Turns the soul blind;
Unable to see possibility
In unique ability

Still trying to understand
How footprints in life's sand
Seem covered,
Despite all that had been suffered

Loss of confidence
Defeating life's essence;
Afraid to try again
Since trying seems vain

Nothing is impossible,
The word itself says I'm possible,
Going the extra mile
Shouldn't stop your smile

A unique tool that prevents us
From failing our life course
From sliding down the slope
Is the voice of hope

Despite life's strife,
A life
Without hope
Is one hanged to death's rope

Hope produces faith
To believe it's never late;
Faith to make plain
That unmoved mountain

It starts with a renewed mindset,
Believing there's nothing to fret;
As long as 'Oluwa' is involved
Possibility's gonna be evolved

Make your mind flexible
To believe it's not impossible;
It may just not have happened yet,
But it will when the right time's set

No matter how life seems,
I've got no shattered dreams,
We decide to call it shattered
'Coz of what we've encountered

Life's what we call it,
Exactly how we define it,
Faith could be your caption,
Despair is also an option

Faith founds possibility,
Despair authors impossibility,
While faith says refire,
Despair says retire

Got the mindset of my creator
Which is the mindset of a victor;
Gracing diligence
With patience

With man, some things are impossible,
With God, all things are possible,
Winners never quit,
Is a quote to reckon with.

You can't stop me from being me

Originality is the key
To become who I'm meant to be,
The best I can do is to improve me
In order to become a more fruitful tree,
Fording the raging sea
And gliding over the tides I see,
Backed with God's mercy
Everything's gonna be made easy

KINDS OF LOVE - God's love's encompassing; get inspired by the love series at pengaze.com

There are four major words for love:

Derived Words:

AGAPE: A selfless unconditional love; A divine love.
PHILEO: Affection, emotion or fondness a person has for another.
EROS: Passionate love between two opposite sex. It is more than sexual ecstasy because it also includes embraces, longing, and caring.
STERGO: Love between family members. It sometimes refers to love between people and their ruler and to love between a pet and it's owner.

The other words for love combine different words to make a special point.

AGAPETOS: Beloved or loved one.
ASTORGOS: Without love.
PHILADELPHIA: Brotherly love.
PHILANTHROPIA: Love for mankind.
PHILEMA: A kiss.
PHILIA: Friendship love.
PHILOS: A love for a friend or relative.
PHILOSTORGOS: Tender love or affectionate love.

God's love is encompassing:

He calls you redeemed. “In him we have redemption through his blood…” (Ephesians 1:7)
He calls you the apple of His eye. “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” (Psalm 17:8)
He calls you blessed. Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts!” (Psalm 65:4)
He calls you holy and blameless. ” Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.” (Ephesians 1:4)

He calls you friend“… but I have called you friends…”(John 15:15)

He calls you his wife. (Eph 5: 22 - 33)
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

He calls you His child. “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)
He calls you His daughter. “And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:18)
He calls you His heir.  “And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” (Romans 8:17)

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN - brothers and sisters; Christ and His church; pengaze.com

Gentle men of fidelity
Humble ladies of dignity
Divine celebrities
What an opportunity
To be together in unity
Celebrating the reality
Of Gods charity
Which is His love of divinity
And fullness of His personality
Existing amidst us in totality

Life's originator
And great warrior
The world's creator
And true conqueror
The wisest tutor
And greatest mentor
Who died in our favour
As the loving saviour
To grant us the sweet savour
Of His divine flavour

He once set up a stage
And on it, opened a page
For those created in His image
From the world's earliest age
To manage His works as a sage
But man engaged in death's voyage
A deadly marriage in sin's carriage
Which caged man in its rage without gage
Man was without the ability to disengage
From sin's deadly wage

Before man's destiny hanged on sin's pole
Before death punctured his soul with a hole
Before sin washed his glory into death's bowl
Man was a fiery coal too hot for sin to control
Too blessed for life to console
'Cos God made man whole as a living soul
Gave him a goal with a will to act his role
But man neglected his goal
Only to condole after selling out his soul
Till Jesus restored the life Satan stole

He made the man in the simplicity
Of perfect humility
Making him:
very caring
basically fantastic
and fully powerful
He made the lady in the complexity
Of various diversities
Making her:
uniquely classic
preciously gorgeous
and socially special

There's a veil
Torn from head to tail
By the Jesus we hail
No matter what it entails
Whether male or female
Our destinies ain't for sale
Our dignity musn't go frail
Our fidelity shouldn't end in the vale
Above storms, we must sail
For our lot is not to fail

There's a lady called the bride
To whom responsibility is tied
Making it impossible for her to hide
From the rising tide
Of challenges that make some backslide
She's the opposite of pride
And has got the groom by her side
In whom she confides as the trusted guide
That makes her glide
Through paths to which she must abide

She ain't just got the physique of a cuty
But was created in unique beauty
And ascribed the classic duty
Of bearing to the peak, the flag of purity
To justify her fantastic inner beauty
She's for sure the picture
Of the beloved bride figure
Portrayed in the scriptures
Whom the groom has to secure
From present to an eternal future

The bridegroom
Prepares his bride, a resting room
The man qualified to be the bride's groom
Is one that can make her bloom
Blot out her doom
And bear her gloom
Only one groom
Qualifies for the Church
Christ the flaming torch
Possessing the Spirit's gentle touch

LIFE AFTER LIFE - From Life in the womb to life outside the womb; 'twill certainly go beyond the tomb

In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?”

The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after deliver
Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.” “Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not andcould not exist.”Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”

Suppose we represent Jesus (Grace) by 1, and we represent Self-Efforts (works) by 0...First, Zero is already zero because it is always Zero.

Simply put, Works don't work! Now, 1 multiplied by 0 gives you zero!
Because Grace AND Self Efforts result in NOTHING! No productivity, Just a "feeling" of Activity. But, if you take 0 (Self-efforts) and SUBMIT to Jesus (1), We have a 10! No Addition. No Multiplication. No Division. No Subtraction; Just SUBMISSION.
And the more "Zeros" you submit, the Larger thenumber, The larger the productivity: From 10 to 100 to 1000... and you keep making progress!

THE POWER OF THE CROSS - the power of the cross crossed out the power of sin; pengaze.com

Sin was the cause of all the fighting and wars within my soul. From the realm of loss I tried to cross the realm of laws to the realm of open doors but the claws of my then boss, the devil, enforced me with a force so gross to remain under the curse of the laws which endorsed sin to reinforce my errors and engross me with a remorse which cuts across the marrows of my soul. With such guilt and condemnation, I couldn't be the leading horse; a bus without destination. I was an empty purse. I was hopeless because I was helpless till Jesus helped me come across the cross.

On that old rugged cross, I saw love made plain beyond what the sane mind could explain. A lamb slain in pain without complaints, for our gain. His muscles strained as blood drained from His veins into a cleansing fountain speaking better things the blood of Cain's brother. A voice from the cross to break the chains which detained us, make plain the mountains that constrained us and cleanse the stains that refrained us from being lain in the terrain of the loving experience of God's rain and reign over and over again. Wow! His death on the cross was never in vain.

On that old rugged cross, humbled and razed to a critical state beyond the base by the craze of those He came to raise from the base. His breath blazed out the phrase, ''It is finished'', marking the beginning of a new phase. A phase of grace to run life's race offering ace praises to the Ancient of Days. Grace transforming our ways by setting every man ablaze. Grace to trace the pace of the ancient of days in the light of His rays from our natural place to His divine palace. It was finished on the cross when grace attended to our case to solve the maze of facing Jehovah face to face without a veil. In summary, our life story was graced with glory through the cross-story.

EASTER - the birth, the death and the ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ; pengaze.com

The crowns of thorns pierced His skull to grant us that redeeming call. Tasted the bitterness of gull for us all. Smashed against sin's wall 'coz of man's fall. All this He did, to bring us into His resting hall.

Suffered the loss of the cross to break our curse. Of course! That's why I can say to you congratulations 'coz EASTER is a celebration of Jubilation without confusion or commotion because it is an ordination that has got recommendation from God, since it is the origin of salvation that brought about death's assassination by the deliberation of the Holyghost, to bring about purification, sanctification and the redemption of mankind, to a new destination through Christ's decision to surrender to death before His resurrection and ascension, to a position where He now makes supplication for us with no condition.

He deserves our adoration, magnification and glorification 'coz only He was able to provide this portion of solution, to the nation of mankind.

Remember, He's the example of perfection to us and has commissioned us to the ministry of reconciliation. EASTER is the day of self-examination, to see if our reflection portrays Jesus' image, 'coz that's the best way to show that we love and reverence Him as we celebrate the end of condamnation and destruction of mankind back to the place of dominion and authority.

ME - get inspired series; be an original, not a photocopy

I heard it's only human
To be in competition with everyone
Yet, I'm someone
In competition with no one

I heard life's a race
Where hurdles stir us in the face
A racing competition isn't my case
I'm only after what I chase

I run my own race
I face my own phase
Depending on the grace
Of the Ancient of Days

It's been lot easier
Bending my desire
To conform to the will of my Messiah
Through the power of Christ my baptizer

I stick to my zone
And play no game of the throne
Though I ain't alone
I've got a life of my own

I sign for fame
And not for shame
All the same
I desire to play no game

No game of striving to be the better
I only compete with my former to the letter
To address my latter
'Coz what matters is actually later

I aim to improve
So as not to soil my future groove
Trying to prove
My point in every move

Not minding where I'm from
What matters is my new form
Conforming to a reform
In order to perform

I differ from everybody
And my way can't be bloody
'Coz I'm somebody
Competing with nobody

I'm ready
To take it slow and steady
Being myself already
Is a sure way to avoid tragedy

The way I glow
Is by sticking to my flow
Using the truth I know
To determine where I go

I'm my own referee
Unruffled by any decree
That's me
And I'm free

Imela (Thank you) Lyrics by Nathaniel Bassey and Enitan Adaba

Verse 1:

When I think upon your goodness;
And Your faithfulness each day
I’m convinced it’s not because I am worthy

To receive the kind of love that You give.
But I’m grateful for your mercy,
And I’m grateful for your grace

And because of how You’ve poured out Yourself,
I have come to sing this song out in praise

Imela, Imela [Thank You! Thank You!]
Okaka, Onyekeruwa [Great and Might creator of the world]
Imela, Imela, [Thank You! Thank You!]
Eze m Oh [My King]

Verse 2:

(Who am I Lord)
Who am I to sing Your praises?
(Who am I to worship you Lord....oh-ho-oh)
Who am I to worship You?
It’s Your blood that makes the difference in me
(And made a way)
And made a way to enter into Your throne
(Into your throne)
I could not come near Your presence
(I could never sing your song...Lord)
I could never sing Your song
But the sacrifice on Calvary’s tree
(hmn...is the reason)
Is the reason I can cry out today
(cry out today eh-hei)

Imela (Imela), Imela (yei-yeah)
Okaka, Onyekeruwa (Onyekeruwa)
